This commission for a curtain wall factory in Kunshan was one of the first built projects realized by Playze in China. It is a reinterpretation of the typical suburban industrial building. The form of the front facade is a reference to the sheet metal roof structure. This very simple alteration of the typology created an unexpected face of the building without overrunning the budget expectation of the client. Classic industrial materials and construction details has been used and rearranged in such a way, that the low budget production site provides an unusual
atmosphere. The office building, the service appartments and the exhibtion hall have also been designed. They will be built in a second phase.
