the challenge of this project is to combine five completely heterogeneous
buildings into a well-organized restaurant complex next to
one of the most valuable historic gardens of shanghai. the strategy
to connect the structures with one axial volume is simple but effective.
this central glass structure connects the existing buildings
visually and functionally. the existing historic elements are simultaneously
