Construction has officially begun on our cohousing group project in Berlin-Neukölln. A total of 16 new residential units are being added through a vertical extension on top of two existing buildings dating from the late 1950s – each individually designed and tailored to the needs of its future residents.
The project is being realized as a sustainable timber hybrid structure, featuring glued laminated timber (glulam) slabs and prefabricated timber frame elements for the roof construction, ensuring both efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
A key highlight of the project is the spacious rooftop terraces, offering future residents additional open space with views across the city.
